Hand Care During Coronavirus

Are you suffering from sore, dry and cracked skin on your hands due to excessive hand washing and the use of alcohol based hand sanitisers? If yes, then fear not read ahead to discover hand care tips and home-made masks to help fight the dryness!

With the current COVID-19 situation, it seems like the world has finally learnt the importance of regular hand washing! Seems bizarre right? As a result we are certainly encouraging and practising this more often (which is great - 20 seconds at the very least people - keep it up!) but not so great for our skin as this begins to strip the skins natural protective oily layer, the skin then begins to lose moisture hence leading to dryness, cracks and painful blistering of the skin. What's worse is that cracked and blistering hands are most sensitive to viruses. So what can we do right now to maintain soft and smooth hands, whilst staying safe and following guidelines? What I really mean to say is stay home and check out these simple but effective hand masks that i'm going to share with you - easy peasy!



So heres how to keep yourself busy during self isolation and make the most out of social distancing - begin by taking care of your hands! Simply mix together the following ingredients : 1 egg yolk

1/2 lemon - extract the juice 2 tablespoons olive oil Beat the mixture until you get a smooth and creamy texture. Apply a thick layer on clean, dry hands and let it sit for 15 minutes then gently rinse with warm water - it's as easy as that!
